Atlanta, Georgia Guitar Program

Atlanta Institute of Music and Media provides the non-beginning guitar student with the instructional environment necessary to develop their musical talents and acquire the skills to become one of today's professional guitarists.

The Atlanta Institute of Music and Media's guitar curriculum accomplishes this through class and private instruction, audio and video computer lab instruction, and live clinics featuring today's most well-known and innovative guitarists and music industry professionals.

The Atlanta Institute of Music and Media's guitar programs are taught by professionals whose work experience, certification and/or music degrees give each instructor the necessary background to teach the demanding guitar curriculum.

As a  student in our Guitar Certificate Program you’ll receive a hands-on education in a real world environment that directly mirrors what is happening throughout music industry.

You’ll gain stage experience through the many playing opportunities at our campus in the greater Atlanta area and you’ll get to record in state-of-the-art studios with aspiring recording artists and other guitar certificate students.

Understanding our Guitar Certificate Program Curriculum

The guitar curriculum is intense, combining classroom experiences and performance opportunities at every level. Within each specifically designed program, we challenge each and every one of our guitar students to become enlightened artists, who are capable of making their own artistic and professional decisions while still working as a member of a larger team.Best Guitar Degree Program

It is the belief of the Atlanta Institute of Music and Media that music is the universal language and therefore welcomes students from diverse backgrounds. The Atlanta Institute of Music and Media serves students without discrimination on the basis of sex; race; age or religion.

Guitar Certificate Program Description

The Guitar Certification Program is designed to provide the intermediate guitarist with the skills needed to become a professional, working musician. Certification students take instrumental, live performance and studio performance classes in a variety of styles including Rock, Blues, Jazz, Fusion, R&B and Acoustic Guitar.

Supporting classes in scales and reading teach students how to solo and sound great in almost any style opening up more opportunities and income streams in the industry. Guitar Certification students also take four levels of music theory, which gives them an in-depth knowledge of the basic components and structure of music making them a more powerful and knowledgeable musician.

Students also take Music Business, a course covering contracts, marketing and everything the working musicians needs to understand the business of music.

The guitar certification program can be completed as a full-time student in twelve months or, as a part-time student, in twenty-four months.
